The cheapest fuel
Pellets as a cheap fuel
Pellets (16 cent/kWh) remain financially more interesting than gas (35 cents/kWh) and electricity (94 cents/kWh). If we do the calculation for an average family with a well-insulated house, they can save up to 7800 euros if they switch from electricity to pellets. For a poorly insulated home, this can even reach 18 000 euros. If you choose pellets instead of gas, we are talking about a savings potential of up to 4400 euros.
However, the rising pellet price is due to the increased costs for transport, electricity and packaging material. Yet the pellets remain highly competitive relative to gas and electricity.
